Moseley Basement - Liquid DPM and Self Levelling Compound
One of our regular customers called with a damp problem they were having in a
basement of a house that they were refurbishing and asked if there was anything we
could recommend and do to help them out so that they could tile the floors without the
damp affecting it.
We were able to help by installing a liquid dpm to suppress the damp and then covered
this with a self levelling compound to give the floor a smooth flat finish to tile on.
Firstly we removed all loose and existing self levelling compounds and then gave the
floor a grind to remove further loose material and contaminating materials, once this
was swept and vacuumed out we applied the liquid DPM with a notched trowel and a
roller. This was then left for 24 hours to dry.
